Nadal Wins French Open

The greatest clay court player of all-time did it again today at Roland Garros in Paris. Rallying from a slow start in the first set, Rafael Nadal recovered and controlled the match from then-on, beating old rival Roger Federer 7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1 to win his record-tying sixth French Open championship and tenth major title overall. Rallying from down 5-2 in the first set, Nadal then split two closely contested sets with Federer before taking over in the fourth. Using his amazing ability to fight off winner after winner, Nadal overwhelmed Federer, forcing him into many unforced errors. In the end, Nadal became the second youngest ever to 10 majors, to Bjorn Borg, at 25 years and 2 days, and improved his head-to-head record against Federer to 17-8.
