Happy Thanksgiving 2014!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers and hope you guys enjoy a great day filled with food, family, and football.

Here are my Thanksgiving football picks:

Bears @ Lions 12:30 PM ET on CBS
Detroit broke its string of Thanksgiving day losses last year, and should win again this year against a Bears team that has suffered through Jay Cutler turnover after turnover and one of the worst passing defenses in football. Look for Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Golden Tate to have big games.

Eagles @ Cowboys 4:30 PM ET on FOX

NFC East showdown between 8-3 Philly and 8-3 Dallas. Should turn into a shootout, with both teams having top 10 offenses and subpar defenses. In the end, I expect Tony Romo, Demarco Murray, Dez Bryant, and Jason Witten to outshoot the Eagles and turnover-prone Mark Sanchez.

Seahawks @ 49ers 8:30 PM ET on NBC
An NFC West battle between two bitter rivals goes under the lights on Thanksgiving, with Seattle and San Francisco renewing their rivalry. Expect a war of attrition between the top 2 defenses in the league and two of the top rushing attacks in the league (maybe, first to 15 points wins). I'll take SF to squeak by, behind a good game from Colin Kaepernick and the two-headed rushing attack of Frank Gore and Carlos Hyde

#5 TCU @ Texas 7:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1
Third year Texas won't be playing Texas A&M on Thanksgiving, as this year it's TCU who pays a visit to DKR. The 5th ranked Horned Frogs are trying to make the college football playoff by finishing the season 11-1, with their only blemish a wild loss on the road @ Baylor. While QB Trevon Boykin has fallen out of the Heisman race with inconsistent games lately, he will still be the most dynamic QB the Longhorns will face this year (apologizes to Taysom Hill). Meanwhile, my Longhorns have gone on a late season 4-1 surge to get bowl eligible after a miserable 2-4 start. QB Tyrone Swoopes has had flashes this moment, but it's Texas' running game and defense which will determine whether they can upset the Horned Frogs tonight. In the end, although the game will be closer than many would have thought a month ago, TCU wins and stays in the conversation for the playoff.
