Happy Thanksgiving 2013!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers and hope you guys enjoy a great day filled with food, family, and football.

Here are my Thanksgiving football picks:

Packers @ Lions 12:30 PM ET on FOX
Detroit hasn't won its traditional Thanksgiving home game since 2003. Call me crazy, but I think that streak ends this year, as Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and the Lions should be angry after a brutal home loss to the Buccaneers. It also helps that the Packers will still be without QB Aaron Rodgers, still recovering from his collarbone injury, and will start Matt Flynn.

Raiders @ Cowboys 4:30 PM ET on CBS

Oakland, believe it or not, is just one game out of an AFC wildcard spot, despite their 4-7 record. QB Matt McGloin has stepped in for Terrelle Pryor and has looked good in two games, throwing 4 TD's, with just 1 interception. But Tony Romo and the Cowboys' offense is on a roll, which should to an easy victory.

Steelers @ Ravens 8:30 PM ET on NBC
An AFC North battle between two teams who are fighting for the playoff lives go at it under the lights on Thanksgiving, with Pittsburgh and Baltimore renewing their rivalry. The Ravens have had all sorts of problems offensively this year, as Ray Rice and Joe Flacco have both suffered awful seasons. Meanwhile, the Steelers have won five of seven, since starting 0-4, as Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh passing game is on fire. Always a tossup in these rivalry matchups, but give me the defending champs at home.

Texas Tech @ Texas 7:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1
Second year Texas won't be playing Texas A&M on Thanksgiving, as this year it's Texas Tech who pays a visit to DKR. After starting out 7-0, Texas Tech has lost four straight games as they've faced stiffer competition. First year head coach Kliff Kingsbury's offense is dynamic, but their Achilles heel has been the turnovers, as they are 4th worst in the nation in turnover margin. Meanwhile, Texas' dreams of winning the Big 12 were shot down two weeks ago against Oklahoma State, which ran the Horns off the field. With a new athletic director coming, this may be one of the last Turkey Day games for head coach Mack Brown. In the end, I think as the Longhorns win the turnover battle and are able to run the ball and control the clock, they are more talented and should come out on top.
