BCS National Championship Preview

Here's my thoughts on the game.
1. If Alabama plays at their best (like they did against Florida in the SEC Championship), they're going to win.
2. This will be the toughest defense Texas has faced all season.
3. Interesting side note: Lower seed has won every single BCS bowl this year.
4. Rest or rust? The two teams last played a game 33 days ago.
5. We need a playoff.
6. The last four Heisman trophy winners lost their bowl game. (2008- Sam Bradford, 2007- Tim Tebow, 2006- Troy Smith, 2005- Reggie Bush)
7. Key for Texas to win: Hit the big play on offense, stay solid on defense, win the turnover battle.
8. Key for Alabama to win: Stay balanced offensively, Dominate the line of scrimmage on defense, stay poised.
9. Thank goodness the game is on ABC. No offense to FOX, but not hearing Mr. "If you're fortunate enough to spend five minutes or 20 minutes around Tim Tebow, your life is better for it" Brennaman do the game will be a welcome change.
10. Did I mention we needed a playoff?
11. I'll be rooting for my state university and the underdog, but in the end, I think 'Bama will win.
MY PREDICTION: #1 ALABAMA 24, #2 TEXAS 20
